Fifth young miss Is A Scourge - Chapter 6
Before Huo Ran knew, everyone in the town stared at her the moment she entered. This time, it wasn’t because they were mesmerized, but instead, stared at her in horror and sympathy.
It’s very questionable but when she tried asking people they would avoid her like a plague, some stores even went as far as closing when they just opened.
Not long after she was left alone in the middle of the road… it’s very vexing…
“Look! There she is!” Someone shouted from behind her. She didn’t need to turn around as people in uniform surrounded her and pointed their weapons at her.
“Tch!” A man in the same uniform sneered. Looking like he’s the leader, he appraises her up and down. ” Simply a Intermediate Qi gathering level 5 managed to murder young master and his guards… how presumptuous! Arrest her at once!”
Huo Ran was in deep thought and didn’t mind them at all. When guards got close she spoke up. “There’s no need to drag me, I’m coming with you” she said as she stroked Xiao Shen’s fur. It lessened her stress a lot.
“Do you think you have a choice? Drag her right now!” The leader angrily shouted.
Huo Ran can only sigh… how come people in this era are so violent…
When the guards got close, she threw Xiao Shen upwards without saying anything causing everyone to instinctively look up.
She poked the eyes of the two guards in front of her mercilessly, she kicked the one towards their comrades to break their encirclement while she used the other to block the spear stabbing towards her.
Before they could even make a sound, Huo Ran caught Xiao Shen with one hand and squatted to take a handful of sand. She threw the sand to the leader’s face and made a run for it.
“Damn! Run after that b*tch- cough-” the leader of the group immediately yelled as he desperately tried to get sand out of his eyes and nose.
She wasn’t dumb anough to take the risk of taking them on, bodyguards of the fatty yesterday couldn’t compare to the people trying to apprehend her right now. She couldn’t even see their cultivation. She knew when to and when not to retreat.
“Chi! Chi! Chi!” Xiao Shen angrily waved its paws. Huo Ran can only smile apologetically.
“I know, I know, I’m sorry I won’t do it again, but we needed a distraction” Huo Ran laughed.
After chasing her for a while, the moment she turned to a corner, she disappeared.
The dozen of guards chasing her stopped and looked around. “Damn! She disappeared!”
“Sir, she disappeared, what should we do?”
“Tch, damn it you idiots! There’s a dozen of you and you couldn’t even chase her?!?” The leader furiously smacked the one who asked.
Though they kept quiet, they begrudgingly thought. “You couldn’t chase her either, what makes you any better?” They only dare to think but not say out loud.
“Search the area! Check every house, those who resist will be punished by Lord Huang!!”
“Yes sir!”

Huo Ran peeked through the gaps between the wooden window as she covered a boy’s mouth.
When they left, she stared down at the boy who seemed fearless. He was only staring at her with his big black eyes.
“Listen closely kid, I’ll let you go but if you scream I’ll feed you to monsters okay?” Huo Ran slowly said with a smile, not threatening at all. The boy was confused but nodded anyway.
Monsters? She’s so childish! The boy thought.
Huo Ran lets go and observed the boy, seeing that he wasn’t planning on screaming at all, she asked. “where’s your parents, are there people here?”
During the chase, Huo Ran didn’t simply “disappeared”, but a two storey house caught her attention and went through the window from the second floor.
“There’s no one here, my mother and father went out” the boy said, he was curious but indifferent. He didn’t even care that someone entered his room from the window. He was just surprised but wasn’t scared.
“Where’s your kitchen?” Huo Ran looked around as she pleased and didn’t mind the kid anymore. The harmony between them is strange…
“It’s down stairs, room to the left.” The boy easily said.
Huo Ran nodded. Although she asked the boy, she was still cautious and didn’t trust him at all. She slowly descended the stairs and went to the kitchen.
There were indeed no people in the house.
The boy followed her and watched her actions carefully.
She went through their cupboards and didn’t touch their food, instead she took a knife and a cleaver.
“What are you going to do with that?” The boy asked.
“It’s for self defense, one must be armed at all times.” She busily said as she wrapped the cleaver with cloth and hid it in the sash of her clothes.
Xiao Shen lazily hung on her left shoulder but the boy had no interest on the cute creature at all, but focused on the places where she hid knives. If he didn’t see her do it, he wouldn’t know it’s there in the first place.
